Downtown Hendersonville Historic Downtown Hendersonville, established in 1988, is the perfect place to shop, eat, or just take a walk. Downtown offers many shops including art, clothing, collectables, music stores, and toys. There's even a movie theater! From barbecue to cafes, you'll find exactly what your looking for.

Do you like live music? Then Downtown Hendersonville has just the thing for you! "Music on Main Street" is a popluar event that is fun for the whole family. Come see live performers every Friday evening from June 3 to August 26 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. In the case of bad weather, concerts will be postponed until 8:00 pm or cancelled. Admission is free, so bring a chair and relax with the sound of sweet music.


Old Courthouse If you are not familiar with the area, you can take the Downtown Hendersonville tour which is easy to follow as it's marked on the sidewalks. Just park your car at the Visitor's Information Center, 201 South Main Street, and travel on north on foot.

In March of 1988, Downtown Hendersonville became considered a historic place in the National Register of Historic Places. You will see many seasonal flowers and trees as you walk down the serpentine road.


Downtown Hendersonville If you turn right at Second Avenue and go one block to Church Street, you can find the Henderson County Farmers Curb Market. Only residents of Hendersonville can sell their products here. All items sold must meet the requirement of being hand-made or locally grown. Hours are from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays in from May through December. The same hours go for January through April, but it will only be open on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
